This Buddhist altar vase, crafted during the height of Ko-Seto in the Kamakura Period (1185–1333 CE), features a rare stamped floral design on its body, making it a captivating piece. According to one theory, it is said that Ko-Seto Buddhist altar vases often have their mouths intentionally broken for religious reasons, and this particular example also exhibits a loss at the rim.
