Jar-shaped earthenware from the middle Yayoi period. A rare, large flat-bottomed example for this era, it is almost entirely preserved with few cracks or losses. The body swells gently at mid-height and stands on a small flat base. The rim flares outward horizontally, and a single incised line encircles the midsection. The body bears hammering and rubbing marks from shaping, and the base clearly preserves leaf-impression traces (leaf-bottom).

Restoration is minimal, preserving a complete form; its state of preservation, dimensions, and the legibility of manufacturing marks are all of high documentary value, and it may rightly be described as museum-quality. There is adhering soil and some age-related abrasion and minor scratches, but overall the condition is good, and it conveys a quietly substantial presence.
