Buncheong ware represents the legacy of the Goryeo period, showcasing the charm of early Joseon dynasty folk pottery with its freeform shapes and decorative motifs. This piece features a slightly reddish clay body coated with a white slip, intricately incised, and then fired under a transparent glaze. It is a remarkable example of Buncheong ware adorned with a splendid peony design, highlighting the inlay and stamped techniques that flourished in the mid-15th century. The condition is excellent.
