A small, round tea saucer formed as a shallow bowl with the rim gently turned up. Approximately 7.2 cm in diameter, it is suited to small gyokuro cups or to small white-porcelain cups.
The wells are lightly decorated with floral and plant motifs, the design varying slightly from piece to piece. These saucers are suitable for use in the sencha tea service and also pair well with small Chinese tea cups. Each bears a mark on the reverse.
The pewter surface shows age-related patina, wear, fine scratches, and areas of discoloration. A small antique pewter tea saucer with an attractive, understated presence.
