ROCANIIRU COLLECTION
Miyako-style Pottery Jar, Wave Pattern Design, Edo Period (1603-1867CE)
$19,370
/
A Miyako-style earthenware jar (17th-18th century) with a wavy design on the shoulder. I am moved by the fact that earthenware like this was still being made on the main island until the Edo period. I feel that the earthenware that people who live in the land use the soil of the land and make with their own hands has a history and prayers with nature that we have built since ancient times.
