Old Hagi Tawarade Tea Bowl, Edo Period/1603-1867CE
Tax excluded. Shipping calculated at checkout
This is probably an older work among the Akahada-yaki tawara-te pieces that use Hagi glaze. The entire surface of the piece is carved to resemble a rice bag, with the hope of a good harvest in mind. The carvings are soft and have a gentle atmosphere, making it perfect for use with light tea. Prayers are also expressed in the square-shaped base. It is in good condition.
