It is a Ryukyu lacquerware Roukakumon Sencha tray released by a Sencha family. A man of letters standing in a castle is drawn.
The lacquer work drawn with a delicate paintbrush on black paint has a beautiful composition and is worth seeing.
It has a nice vermillion color.
The back is made of fine wickerwork and has a strong structure with three crosspieces.
Is it the cloth that is stretched and the lacquer that is applied and hardened? It's a good job.
It has been used and some baldness is visible, but it has changed to a nice old look.
Recommended as a sencha tray for tea ceremony.
