JAR, Gray Earthenware, with impressed design, Spring & Warring States(770–221BCE)

Tax included.  |  Flat ¥1,000 shipping (Honshu only, large items excluded)

This is a gray earthenware jar from the Spring and Warring States period. The entire surface is adorned with a textile pattern created through a technique of impressing with cloth. The jar exhibits a pleasingly organic form, having warped slightly during the firing process, which enhances its aesthetic appeal.

After filling it with water for an hour, there were no signs of leakage. When water is poured into it, one can distinctly perceive the characteristic aroma of ancient pottery.
