DEEP BOWL, Earthenware, Jomon Period(10000–300BCE)

Sale price¥198,000

Tax included.  |  Flat ¥1,000 shipping (Honshu only, large items excluded)

This deep bowl, characterized by a cylindrical body resting on a flat base and slightly flaring at the rim, exemplifies the Jomon pottery style. The lip is adorned with delicate appliqué decorations crafted from fine clay, while the entire vessel is elegantly shaped with feather-like cord markings.

This rare piece of Jomon pottery retains its complete form, exuding a remarkable presence on its own, yet it surprisingly complements floral arrangements beautifully. A bamboo tube for arrangement is included.
