
BOTTLE, Buncheong ware with peony design, Joseon Dynasty(1392–1897CE)
Buncheong ware represents the legacy of the Goryeo period, showcasing the charm of early Joseon dynasty folk pottery with its freeform shapes and decorative motifs. This piece features a slightly reddish clay body coated with a white slip, intricately incised, and then fired under a transparent glaze. It is a remarkable example of Buncheong ware adorned with a splendid peony design, highlighting the inlay and stamped techniques that flourished in the mid-15th century. The condition is excellent.
