Khmer ash-glazed tea bowl, 12th-16th century
$1,306
/
This Khmer ash-glazed tea bowl (15th-16th century, excavated) has a quiet color. It has a beautiful yellow color. The color tone is soft and reminds me of egg-shaped tea bowls. Crazing can be seen all over the bowl, and it seems that it will develop a good flavor if used as a matcha bowl. The rim is slightly thin. I think it would also be nice as a confectionery dish or a mukouzuke dish.
