Dutch Antique Delft jar 16th-19th century

White Delft of the Age of Discovery. It was originally made as an ointment container, but in Japan it has been prized as a tea utensil such as a sake cup and water jar for tea ceremonies since the Edo period. The soft porcelain has a universal beauty, with a soft skin that looks like it has been sprinkled with yoghurt, a handle that blends in easily, and a nuanced expression that casts shadows.

I filled it with water for about an hour, but there was no leakage. I think it's a size that can be used not only for sake cups but also for flower vases.
