Small jar / tea caddy from the Hutian kiln, featuring a distinctive yingqing glaze with a ridged pattern and a lid, dating to the Song Dynasty (960–1279 CE). The term "yingqing" refers to a type of white porcelain coated with a pale blue glaze, where the transparent bluish-white glaze accumulates in the carved areas of the surface decoration. This exquisite ware was produced in large quantities at the Jingdezhen kiln in Jiangxi Province during the Song Dynasty.

This piece exemplifies the characteristic charm of yingqing, making it an excellent choice for use as a tea caddy in a traditional tea ceremony.
