This low stool is crafted by the men of the mountain tribes in northern Thailand.
It was encountered during a journey to the tea forests surrounding Laos, in a small village inhabited by the Yao ethnic minority.

The stool features a frame made of rattan, with a seat upholstered in cowhide.
Some fine hairs still remain on the cowhide, which are said to wear away with use.

Its charming presence makes it suitable not only as a seat but also as a flower stand, and it is highly recommended for incorporation into a tea setting.
