This is a kiln-altered Shigaraki jar from the Edo Period, acquired from a tea house.
It features a striking display of stone eruptions, kiln variations, and the flow of fire, creating a powerful and captivating visual experience.
Standing at 25 cm tall, it is perfectly sized for a tokonoma in a tea room. The condition is excellent, with no leaks.
