Pottery from the Yayoi period was produced in standardized forms such as jars, jars, and bowls according to purpose. It continued to be produced for 1,000 years, until rice cultivation was introduced and established through paddy field cultivation.

This item is the remains of the lower body of a jar-shaped earthenware vessel with a rounded body and a wide rim. Its uneven bowl shape, age-old earthenware character, and frayed edges all add to its charm and quiet presence.
