E-Karatsu refers to a type of Karatsu ware, produced in various regions of Hizen after the Keicho era, characterized by iron pigment decorations in black or brown beneath the glaze. This piece is distinctly crafted as a tea container, belonging to the category of tea ceramics. The surface glaze has naturally weathered, presenting a charmingly aged appearance. Consider using it with a lid as a tea container.
