Higaki pattern is unique to Shigaraki. It is said that it is modeled after a shimenawa rope or the bamboo fence of the barrier, but it is not known for sure. Pots of this size are called uzukumaru, and were used at the time to store seeds and other items.
Ashes cover from the shoulder to the lower torso, and the burnt skin is reddish. Flat bottom. There are many highlights such as the well-engraved Higaki pattern and the sharp double-layer mouth structure, which is full of strength.
