LACQUERER'S WORKBENCH, Edo Period(1603–1867CE)

This is a lacquerer's workbench. Through repeated applications of lacquer, layers accumulate, creating an unexpected texture that bestows a unique presence.
When hung on the wall, it transforms into a striking object of art. Additionally, lightweight items can be placed upon it. Although I regret not capturing a photograph of it, when positioned on the floor with an antique long board atop, it becomes an aesthetically pleasing wooden pedestal. If laid on the ground, it could even serve as a boundary marker.
Numerous product photos are available for you to examine the details and condition. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
