以前、ラオスの山岳民族のヤオ族の座椅子などをたくさんご紹介させて頂きましたが、
今回はさらに数が少ない、ヤオ族の木台皿をご紹介させて頂きます。
本品は実際にまな板として相当の年月使い込まれたもので、良く枯れ、丸くなった木肌の素晴らしいマチエールです。
歪みや、木のほつれもありますが、台付の素朴な造形も含めて、魅力にあふれた作品です。
この手のものは、おそらく日本にも、数えるほどしか入っていないはずです。
