This is a silvered bottle crafted from ancient Roman glass. The intriguing texture of the glass surface, which has undergone chemical transformations in the earth, along with the exquisite form of the ancient glass, is truly captivating. This piece is particularly rare, featuring a unique double-layered construction. Remarkably, due to cracks in the outer layer, silvering is visible even on the inner layer of the glass. Although the photographs may not fully capture its beauty, I encourage you to experience this remarkable work in person. It would make a splendid object for display.
