中東で出土した石製のオイルランプです。11世紀から14世紀頃のもの。
全体に抽象的な花文、側面には向かい合う人物の彫刻が施されています。石製のオイルランプは、土器と違い丈夫であったため、貴重品であったようです。
数世紀の時を経て、角も丸みをおび、使われた石の材質感が出ています。オイルランプとしても問題なくお使いいただけますが、書の水滴、花などに見立ててもお楽しみください。
