This ancient wicker basket, known as "Mekkai," was traditionally used for transporting stones or transferring harvested goods into a carrying basket.
Examples of Mekkai that have withstood the test of time are exceedingly rare.

It can be hung on the wall, adorned with vines, or utilized as a flower vase by suspending slender bamboo tubes.
