CORNER-CUT WOODEN TEA TRAY, Early Modern Period(16th–19th centuries)

Tax included.  |  Flat ¥1,000 shipping (Honshu only, large items excluded)

This is a corner-cut wooden tea tray from the Tang dynasty, featuring a pedestal design. The surface is adorned with colorful paintings over a red lacquer base.
Although it shows signs of frequent use, it has developed a charming patina that enhances its character.
The wooden components exhibit the wear and marks of age, yet remain sturdy and functional, making it suitable for continued use.
I personally utilize it as a confectionery tray during tea gatherings. It serves as an excellent tea tray for entertaining guests with tea.

Photographs featuring this tray alongside other tea utensils are included.
Additionally, the tea utensils shown in the photographs are also available for viewing, and we invite you to appreciate them together.
