This is an antique bamboo mat, originally passed down from a tea ceremony family, used for serving sencha tea. It was employed as a flower stand in the tokonoma alcove, featuring a richly textured surface of aged bamboo that evokes the essence of wildflowers. As it is a delicate piece crafted entirely from bamboo, please handle it with care.
