This birdcage, crafted by the Ifugao people of the Philippines in the 17th century, showcases exquisite handwork. The robustly woven bamboo has developed a rich patina over time, evoking a sense of the daily life of that era. At the top, a loop for hanging is provided, allowing it to be enjoyed as a flower basket when filled with grasses and blooms.
