WILD GRAPE NET BASKET, Edo Period(1603–1867CE)

Tax included.  |  Flat ¥1,000 shipping (Honshu only, large items excluded)

This well-aged net basket exudes a rustic charm that transcends its original purpose as a piece of folk craft. Over time, it has developed a serene and profound presence reminiscent of Zen aesthetics.

While it can certainly be used as a vessel for hanging flowers, it also stands beautifully on its own as an object of art within a space. Its poetic demeanor seamlessly integrates with both nature and the surrounding environment. An image of the basket displayed in a tokonoma alcove is included for reference. The hanging cord is crafted from twisted fine bamboo.
