Sale price¥39,000 JPY

A rectangular sencha tray carved from solid hardwood; the interior bears a carved pine branch, the branches and foliage meticulously rendered in fine detail. A vermilion square seal is impressed in one corner.

The wood has acquired a deep patina over many years, showing no warping and presenting a mellow, lustrous character. Fine surface scuffs are visible, yet the carved lines remain crisp, conveying the carver's skill. It would be well suited for use in a tea ceremony or similar settings.
