Pottery fired at the ancient kiln site of Suankhalok in Thailand from the 14th century onwards was imported to Japan from the Momoyama period to the early Edo period, and was called Song Kuroku or Sunkorok. It is said that tea masters at the time prized it as tea utensils. Sunkorok produced many works that imitated the celadon and blue and white patterns of the Longquan kilns of the Song and Yuan dynasties in China, and mainly produced gray celadon glazes, iron paintings and white paint on semi-porcelain clay. This item has a lotus petal pattern painted in brown paint on a milky white glaze. Although it is an excavated item, the colour is good and there are few creases. There are repairs on the body. Please see the photos.
